Once again, it's Friday and time for a blog. I've haven't had much to write lately or a whole lot of time to blog anyway. But today I said, "What the hell. I'm going to drop a couple words of 'Rob's ultimate and never-ending wisdom.'" Life is good right now but a little confusing. It's more like an emotional roller coaster. As much negative stuff that's happening around me, I'm able to stay positive. That's hard. Actually it's hard not to just say, "fuck it" and give in to the situations, pout and feel sorry for myself. I really can't do that. It's something I used to do. It took a long time to realize that and tell myself not to do it. It's a conscience effort to not have that type of an attitude. This previous Sunday my great grandmother, Alice Jaramillo, passed away. Although it's sad, it's a beautiful thing at the same time. What's beautiful about it, is she joins my great grandfather who passed months before her. You can pretty much say "she died of a broken heart" as my cousin Naomi put it. Now that's something to ponder. How many of us get to experience that type of love in our lives? 60 years of marriage and their bond wasn't severed for long. Her mortal being wasn't going to keep her from being with the person she loved so much and missed dearly. That's beautiful. (Wow, I kinda teared up when I wrote that!) I didn't know great grandma Alice very well beyond the time my step-dad, John and my mom got married. She was my step great grandmother so I didn't know a whole lot about her life previous to my parents getting married. What I did know, she was a very gentle and kind heart. She was always very soft spoken and loving. Once and while she'd let out a wise-crack and make you laugh. That was something I appreciated about "Little Grandma." Anyway, I guess life goes on for the rest of us. The sun will rise in the morning and we have to continue with life until, well... it ends. That sounds sort of morbid and depressing but three deaths in the previous six months is a little stressing. It's like a reoccurring theme as of late (no pun intended). On with the other stuff... I recently purchased the Motorola MOTOROKR S9 headphones from Amazon.com. I bought them with the Motorola D650 iPod dongle which allows you to wirelessly connect to your iPod as well as your cell phone via Bluetooth. Let me just say, "These things are the freakin' shiz-nit!" For real! Sorry I had to get all “gangsta” on you for a second. But seriously, they're bad ass. I'm in love with my iPod again as well as my huge library of music. These things are very easy to pair with my Razr2 and my iPod. There's almost no effort at all. Follow the simple instructions and in seconds you're rocking out. They sound absolutely amazing and cancel out background noise pretty well. My favorite thing about these guys is they control your iPod's forward, rewind, play and pause functions and they have an awesome radius. I can pretty much walk around my office, house or the gym with these things jamming. I love it! For no reason at all I wear them and listen to my favorite jams. I never did that before. The one thing that sucks is these drain your iPod rather quickly. My iPod lasts roughly four hours before completely dying. That's not bad considering that I have around four hours from when I get into work in the morning to lunch. And then after a lunch I have another four hours from then until I go home. So I do get breaks to charge the iPod. What's next? I'm in for an iPod Touch. Seriously, I want one. My friend Christie has one and I fell in love with it. Being a graphics person, I love shiny, good looking things so naturally I'm attracted to boobs (although not so shiny unless there’s baby oil involved) and an iPod Touch. I'm not much for Mac's or the iPhone but for some reason I freakin’ love the iPod Touch. The only thing I DON'T LIKE, is the fact that it doesn't have Bluetooth. What the fuck right?!?! How do you have a device like the iPod touch and not have Bluetooth. That's the only disappointing thing about it. Anyway, I'm out... I’ll leave you with some music I’ve been jamming to.
I’ll throw down some links and images later. Peace out fools…
