Being somewhat of a “clown,” I have a laugh-out-loud appreciation for web comics. I mean literally laughing out loud. You can ask my co-workers. They’re always wondering what the heck I’m chuckling about. But hey, who doesn’t appreciate a joke to lighten up those long hectic days at work. Anyway a few years ago a friend of mine turned me on to Penny Arcade and since then I’ve followed XKCD, Explosm and various others. So I figured I would highlight a new comic strip every once and a while. Today I stumbled upon Alien Loves Predator by Bernie Hou and thought it deserved a little plug.

It’s an interesting setting: The characters are actually toys with a little “photoshopping” to give it that comic look. Alien and Predator (who have joined forces after fighting each other) move to New York and are trying to make it in the “real” world as common folk. The best part is we (the audience) get to laugh at their awkward experiences and misunderstandings.

Anyway, check out the comic it’s pretty funny. The Speed Dating strips are fuckin’ hilarious.
